I'm here but I'm not here Look close and you may see just what remains of me I can sometimes not be found Making noises underground I'm there but I'm not there It's easy to see through me I just dissolve into air I am often never found Scratching timber underground And I can feel that I'm still breathing And I can feel my lungs still fill with air And I look at my reflection and there's no one there And I can feel that I'm still breathing I'm here but I'm not here A shape that you once knew now easy to see through I'm walking down the street Like a spectre of deceit I'm there but I'm not there I've done everything I can but remain a translucent man As I'm walking down the road Watch as we gradually erode And I can feel that I'm still breathing And I can feel my lungs still fill with air And I look at my reflection and there's no one there And I can feel that I'm still breathing Lost tears in the rain A photo in a frame Water down the drain At the end of all the pain And I can feel that I'm still breathing And I can feel my lungs still fill with air And I look at my reflection and there's no one there And I can feel that I'm still breathing A human remains At the end of all the pain, a human remains

Nail the doors and windows shut Too late for me now Sat here in this empty room I'm blinded, can't see How long? How long? How long? How long? Fall through the gaps in the floor Disappear from view Feel, what is there left to feel? There's nothing to do How long? How long? How long? How long? (Where is the life I used to know?) (Is there a time to bring it back?)

about

An acoustic mini album featuring three tracks stripped back to just acoustic guitar and voice: 'When Light Will Come' from the Discarded Memories EP, 'This Night and The Wounds it Will Bring' from my upcoming album and 'This Human Remains' which is inspired by the playing of John Martyn and may feature on a small, folkier release in the future.
